Injury Prevention with Kasey Keegan

Kasey Keegan, a board certified orthopedic physical therapist with 30 years of experience treating athletes, and owner of Fit Rehab and Training, will present a 45 minute lecture and demonstration beginning at 10:30AM: “Common Running injuries: How to prevent them and when to seek medical attention”.  Healthy and efficient running is achieved if the 3 B’s: big toe, butt and belly, are functioning well and are in sync.  If they aren’t, injuries, such as ITB syndrome, knee pain, Achilles tendonitis, and plantar fasciitis, will eventually develop.

The 3 B’s of running and how they relate to running injuries will be explained.  Participants will be guided through a self-assessment to determine if they are at risk for developing a running injury, and if so, no worries, corrective exercises will be taught too!  If you are into preventive medicine, are having trouble consistently “running in the groove”, or are curious about the 3 B’s concept, please attend.
