Welcome to Sneaker Factory Running University!

Sneaker Factory Running University (SFRU) was established in 2010 to help runners of all abilities achieve their fitness and training goals. Whether you are an experienced runner seeking to qualify for the Boston Marathon or are a beginner athlete adding running to your life for the first time, we can help! Our staff has the experience to guide runners of all levels in achieving their fitness goals.

Fall Marathon and Half-Marathon Training

(Starting Sunday, July 22-8am)

Planning to enter a long distance running event this fall? Do you need some guidance?

Long training runs are a bit easier when you have the company of other runners—not to mention a coach to encourage you!

Summer is the time to start increasing your mileage if you are planning to run a fall marathon or half-marathon.

Let SFRU help you reach your running goals! SFRU will provide a training plan and the guidance to personalize it. You will also get weekly face time with a certified running coach, and the opportunity to enjoy your long runs as part of a group. Your coach will plan the routes for long runs, and provide beverages. There will be 14 group runs scheduled between July 22 and November 11.

Our program is open to all experience levels, however: if you are planning to run a full marathon this fall you should be entering the program with a training base. In other words, if you havenʼt run a step in months, you should NOT be starting marathon training on July 22. (Consider a half-marathon instead!)

*Note: While most of our runs will take place on Sunday morning, there may be a couple of weekends that we will meet on Saturday instead. We rotate locations, using many local parks in the Millburn, Summit, Morristown and Basking Ridge area. Exact schedule will be posted soon. All new SFRU participants receive a tech t-shirt. Returning participants receive a $20 discount.
